Honestly? It’s the part when the citizens on the bridge fight Goblin. It was a post-9/11 moment that meant a lot to see New Yorkers banding together.
Don’t care much for Tobey Maguire, but J.K. Simmons is maybe the best casting in any superhero movie.
Fantastic, especially for its time.
Danny Elfman and it’s just great.
Notes
This still really holds up. The CGI is fantastic and it really feels like you’re swinging through the city. It has that Sam Raimi charm and style too. My only knocks are that Tobey lacks the sarcastic nature of Spider-Man, and some of the set pieces really feel like they’re on a sound stage.
