Creator Cameo:
Stan Lee
Milwaukee Man Drinking From Bottle
Villain's plot:
Like all Hulk stories, the government thinks of him as their property, and will do anything to get it back.
Rankings:
The transformation in the bridge, and subsequent quad fight.
Also, the first “Hulk, smash!”
Edward Norton was fine, but William Hurt’s General Ross was very well cast.
Special effects were really good—super lean musculature. They got better in the later Avengers movies, but this wasn’t bad.
He’s also, kinda…gray? Not intentionally so, but you can tell they over-corrected from Ang Lee’s neon green.
Not featured prominently, but there are hints to the song from the original TV series.
Notes
It’s not that it’s a bad movie, per se, it’s just that this was done before the MCU had a specific direction. It wasn’t an origin story, but it also didn’t advance Bruce or the Hulk’s character in any way
