Maybe it’s Peter making a distraction for Gwen to escape? It was a highlight.
Jamie Foxx was good in a bad part, but Dane DeHaan was pitching 126mph.
Sally Field still killing it though.

It might be bad writing if you have to add an internal monologue to describe a villain’s motivation…
I feel like maybe the movie itself isn’t bad, just the writing? Some of the movies I’ve watched are bad, but it feels like this one just made awful choices along the way. So many things that had me scratching my head, like, why was Peter’s dad a super scientist, but also a spy? And he somehow created the spider that bit his son? With… his own DNA? And that’s just the Osborn stuff. Don’t even get me started on the weird Electro biz.
The Gwen and Peter stuff was good though.
